Hi Portland folk! I was recently offered a high level job at Nike. I might be moving to Portland very soon. I'm interested in getting insider info about the city. I'm looking for a place to live. What is considered a hip, fun, high value, and up-and-coming neighborhood in Portland? I'm a 30 year old Male, straight, single, with no pets. I very big into outdoor activities and very socialable. I don't drink so I would not be happy in the bar/nightclub district. I would like to be in an area with single young professionals. where do you think I'd be happy? What neighborhood is the "place to be" in Portland? Any input will be greatly appreciated.
Side question. What are people from Portland called? Portlandites, Portlandese, Portlanders, Portlandinians? Just curious.
